A brass band for a הכנסת ספר תורה, a bar mitzvah, a kumzitz, sheva brochos or camp. Everything is acoustic, so we can play in the street, in the hall, and the whole way from one to the other. Book three of us or the whole band.
The Band

We also BRING a drummer.
תקיעה is the shofar blast, the sound that makes a whole room turn. A horn section does the same thing at your simcha. The brass band enters, it's a show stopper.
Trumpets, trombones, sax, sousaphone, drums. Super exciting. And we dont need amplifiers, everything is acoustic, so we start playing the minute we step out of the van and keep going down the block, up the stairs and into the hall. Give us a corner and a crowd and we take it from there.
I’m Danny Flam. I have played horns on Jewish albums since forever.. A guy at a wedding once asked me to play an oldie, and it turned out I had played on the original session. I want Tekia to bring the same excellence and fun to your simcha!

Fits through a front door and up a staircase. This is the band for walking a sefer Torah from the house to shul, or for showing up at somebody’s door as a surprise. It also plays a lovely kumzitz.

Two of everything with a drumline behind it, everybody in uniform. This is the band for closing a block for a sefer Torah, or for camp visiting day, when you want the whole neighborhood at the window.

Hachnosas Sefer Torah
We walk in front of the Torah from the house to the shul and play the whole way there, with the crowd dancing behind us. This is the gig we love most.
בר מצוה
Bar Mitzvah
We walk the boy in, play the dance sets, and if you want, march him to shul Thursday morning for his first aliyah.
קומזיץ
Kumzitz
Soft horns and the old niggunim, at a volume people can sing over. Brass turns out to be very good at a slow song around a fire.
שבע ברכות
Sheva Brochos
Twenty minutes between courses, or an hour of dancing after. The trio fits in a dining room with the tables right where they are.

Summer Camp
Visiting day, color war breakout, the Friday afternoon walk into Shabbos, the last-night banquet. Send us the schedule and we’ll find the spots.
